I suppose just let it on on all of them and let "people" moderate it would work, but it would add more clutter and less people posting at all. FYI less than 4% of our daily visitors post anything. Add a thanks button and that value will halve. Or more.

We will make sure to implement it, because it seems like good practice.
However, crawlers are not the only reason we use hxxp - one of the main reasons are referers. We could attach some anonymizing service to all links, there are very few resources for that at the moment, though.
Additionally, many crawlers actually ignore nofollow.
