Search your watched threads
I think it would be great if there was a way of listing and seeing the threads you are following, instead of only email notification.

Personal folder
I think it would be great if we could have a "personal folder" in our profile (set to public or private), in which we could add images and files we would tag as we see them.
Not only we would have access to our favourite images all the time, without the need to download them and without using server space.
Plus, the artists and uploaders would be aware of how "liked" the images posted were.2 votes -
a better activation code
the Activation code is AIDS sorry but its true its extremely hard to read and when i thought i had it rite 3x apparently i didn't its worse than those captchas with the ever changing pictures and i thought those were the worst! i suggest just having a box you tick instead saying im not a robot coz I'm not.. Use rel="nofollow" instead of hxxp
I've seen you are using some old technique for hiding links from bots like Google-Bot or Yahoo/Bing whatever. Instead using these hxxp things which are annoying for users you can say "Bots please dont follow this link" like this:
<a href="http://example.com" rel="nofollow">MyNoFollowLink</a>
Users will not see any difference and bots dont follow it. You should also add this by default for links from users (prevents spam on your site)

for next cristmas, implement an advent calender wich could be filled with art from the community. Poems, pictures, videos and such.
Inspired by other forums of the sort it would be really nice to have an advent calender for next year's advent. Classic format, 24 doors to open, each with one piece of art of a community member. Start a thread to get the art, each piece must be an original made for the sole pupurpose of filling a calender door.

Collaborate with online manga readers or make our own
Lah as a forum is getting more and more obsolete. Doujins aren't spread by torrents anymore, instead people use online readers mainly. The same has already sort of started for loli vids (fc2, trollvids) and some VNs can already be played online in the browser. I think, to keep LAH alive in the future, it should evolve. Manga readers & imageboards often have their own forums, but they are mostly near empty. For example, http://tsumino.com. We have Mugi with his database, but that's not exactly it, and no one cares really to put any effort in making it clear…

Remove google from "leave" button at the entrance
So, at http://lah.li/ you have google for "leave" button. Google banned loli, why should we promote google? Change it to ixquick.com.

Expire warnings
Very many people have warnings. This has a huge demotivating effect among the forum. I really think everyone who has the warnings should have them expired, as well as new ones shouldn't be permanent either. Or at least do not display them under each post and leave them visible only to the users who have them and admins.

incorporate this feedback forum in lah.li
I just noticed this uservoice is completely separated from lah.li. I'm afraid many peaple want take the trouble of signing in and figuring out how things work here. The threshold to vote, comment and suggest would be much lower when it is done within our familiar lah site.

Split Stories and Roleplaying board
The Stories and Roleplaying board is becoming quite cluttered with roleplaying threads, and stories have seemed to dry up recently.
At one time, Sat had said there weren't enough RP threads to worry about it, but recently there have been a large increase in RP threads or threads talking about starting RPs, etc.
Of course, as a writer, I want people to see the story threads and comment on them. I think when I posted my last story, there were 6 or so RP threads that had been bumped within an hour later, pushing my story well down the board.

Add a 'go to first unread' button within the threads. If it is not too difficult to implement, it would save a lot of time.
I know some boards have a first unread button, some do not, so I don't know the difficulties involved. It would make checking new posts quicker.

Monthly post clean ups
Just an idea, only problem is takes up a lot of time.
Simply send out a team of people to clean up the posts every monthly like merge/delete unneeded post. Clean comments up, (For say, have a comment that has a latest working re-up as the very first comment below the OP.) and things like that. It'll help get rid of much unneeded stuff.

Upcoming changes to the report function might help improve this, though.

First post always on top
Saw this one first on HongFire i believe.
No matter what page you went to in a thread the first post was always at the top.
I think this would be something we should have since most people don´t care to see what the OP wants in a image thread, so there is many who posts images that is off-topic because of that.
If the OP was always on top then they would be able to read exactly what the OP wanted without going back to the first page.

Display the post date near the top of a message
The date a message was posted is currently displayed below each message. Moving this date somewhere near the top of a message (such as in the sidebar near the poster's avatar) would allow readers to see at a glance whether they are reading something that was posted recently, or an old thread that happened to get bumped. This would be especially useful in longer OPs that require a lot of scrolling to see when they were posted.

Add separate icons for stories and for roleplaying
I would like to see icons to use in the Stories and Roleplaying board, the way the download boards have "Game", "CG", Video", "Book" and "Mixed" icons.
11 votesAs the icons are currently implemented, it is not possible to separate which choices a user has in which forum. All of the choices would be present in all forums. I will see what I can do…

Add optional password area
I was thinking it'd save quite a bit of trouble for users who have trouble following clues on how to find passwords. Add something that requires you to be logged in, and if set by the thread creator, to have a certain number of posts before you can see the password. Kinda like how you have to register to see some links. Make it that for passwords.

make it easier to grab all the pictures on threads
This way it will be easier to look through all the pics and find the copies to save space.
8 votesFirst thing’s first: LAH already uses a duplicate prevention. Only duplicates that we have are pictures that have been modified.
Second, doing this would only waste our bandwidth. People only click on thumbnails their like, not all of them.
Third, this would pretty much lower the posting rates.
What do you think?

implement an RSS feed for new threads on LAH
It would be possible to deliver you news about new threads or posts on LAH using an RSS feed. But how many of you would use it? Is it a good idea?
